R.I.P. That's just awful.Todd Burgess was just a guy out doing his job but never returned home from work. While winching a car out of the ditch near Port Perry he was stuck and killed by a vehicle that apparently had not slowed down, had not moved over and was most certainly driving too fast for the conditions. We all see it each and every day, emergency vehicle on the side of the road, few if any passing drivers slow down, almost none move over and given this has become all too common, tragedies like this will continue. WTF are people racing to that is more important than this man's life???

I hope they throw the book at her, literally.According to the OPP, the northbound vehicle that struck Burgess also began sliding out of control on the roadway. Police described it as "snow-covered, slushy and icy.".
He said the "young girl" driving the silver car couldn't have missed the accident scene because the tow trucks on the side of the road were "lit up like Christmas trees. There was no way she couldn't see the trucks."
The OPP have not announced any charges in the fatal collision.
