Regrets about buying the S550, or selling some of the previous cars? Don't know yet on the new one, just got it before Xmas and it went straight in to storage. Might be getting it out this weekend. I've driven enough of the S550s to know that I like them, other than the front end styling still isn't my favourite. I haven't advertised the SVO anywhere yet (other than in my sig here), and if it doesn't sell this year it's not a big deal. Although it probably won't get driven much other than to some car shows if we're ever allowed to have any gatherings again.

I had a sweet S550... but at the end of the day I prefered my slower, crapier foxbody so I traded in the Coyote power for a Ranger as a daily and kept my fox. Never been happier with my vehicles - I'm not even bugging Bill anymore lol I'm glad I didn't sell my fox to keep the S550... real glad. While I 100% agree they are amazing cars, Ford's latest batch of 5.0 Mustangs are nothing but amazing. I am a foxbody guy... can't help it.

If the new edge convertible is your "forever car" then maybe it's worth it, but I honestly I have a hard time with the proposition of dumping 10k in to my car to essentially end up the same power level in the end. If a shop could guarantee me that my car plus 10k gets me back a Coyote powered car with working AC/Heat/Power Steering and no cut corners then maybe.

But honestly by the time you source motor/trans/control pack and harness/k member/exhaust/clutch all the misc lines and hardware needed I feel like it's going to be above $13000 even after getting top dollar for my currently setup. Which puts you right at S550 money and honestly those things are fucking awesome.
I agree but I just love my car. It turns more heads then the new cars. Can it compete ? No I’ll get slapped. And to be honest, the only stang I like after mine is the 13-14 California edition. Which are a pain in the ass to track down

My honest opinion then? If light to light performance is what you're after, sell the Vortech, find you a nice roots style blower for the 2V and have a sponsor build you a monster 2v bottom end and get a T56 in her. That's right around 10k and the performance you'll see is higher than a stock Coyote. Cool factor might not be there but you'll hurt some feelings.

Or adopt the LSX as your Lord and Savior.

IDK, I'm just an internet talking head.

Some smaller out of the way plaza's around here, clearly stores are not obeying the govt order to stay closed. One must have had some sorta sale or promotion, people lined up all the way around the building, of course most not practicing social distancing.
You selfish fucks are putting all of us in danger and prolonging how long this thing lasts.

My parents are only 20 years older then I. My mom 19 years older. For years I tried to get them to move out to my area so I can take care of them. I shutter at the thought of an old age home and when I first came out here there was some awesome deals. But stubborn as people are they didn't budge, didn't want change. If I had the cash I would have pulled the trigger and bought the properties myself. I consider myself lucky because of my health is very good and grew up in a health conscious generation, but closing in on 60 I can see I'm not who I was...Last night in the wee hours my Dad went into emergency surgery for and abdomen aneurysm. There's many things to be thankful for... mainly he pulled thru a surgery that gave him a 50/50 chance and so far he is okay. Considering the current events things could have been a lot worse. As much as I hate government and you may be able to throw authority into that mix, I have to commend our leaders and their advisors on the organization and leadership with care facilities in these times. If this was another country he may not have been attended too period (from what I have read). This all happened in the wee hours and I can only imagine my moms worries as she was not allowed to go in the ambulance and be there waiting by his side...Health is a serious consideration in a persons lifestyle - If you can stay home - stay home - everyday I have to go to work and come home to five other people waiting it out, and that worries me. I only have to go to work because of the economy. It's different now then all the other years and I do my best to be careful. There's many things to be learned in this time and I think the biggest thing for me - Is what we had before really normal....? Is the economy as important as health...? Is the economy more important than life itself...? Is normal just a term for comfort and peace of mind, for a lucky few...I say this in respect to those who work for minimum wage or maybe don't work at all...Is normal changing and will it change for the better. Greed seems to be todays normal along with chasing a never ending grasp to be on top of it. We live in a time where we have seen people accumulate tons of wealth then suddenly die from something money could not prevent - what good is the economy really doing for us as a whole community....? If you can stay home - stay home! Personally I want to see the normal change for the better of all not just the few at the top! My mom said in a sort of broken voice...The last thing he said to me was not to worry!
