    That’s nuts. I was asking cause I’m seeing all my options. I love my car and I don’t want to trade it. Unless I get a terminator which I’m not spending another 20k

    So I thought to upgrade the tranny and forge my internals and up the boost. I want a street car pushing 600hp. My 5th gear with with 3.73s is a pure dead gear

    If you're going to build the motor and go max effort I'd say you're staring down the barrel of having to build your trans anyway so may a well get another gear and better trans in the deal. However on a mild stock bottom end build it's not going to be a drastic performance upgrade sadly. I did mine because a good friend hooked me up with it. Guy had bought it to put behind an LSx powered Nissan, however he ended up with one for a Mod-Ford. He sold it for cheap compared to what I had been seeing ($600) and after selling my stock trans/FRPP driveshaft combo I ended up getting a T56 with a brand new clutch for basically $100.

    So you think by upgrading the engine with that tranny I won’t see any difference?

    If you run more boost you will, otherwise probably not.
