Wouldn’t the water have to get cooled down faster though?

The updated high flow GT500 pump is readily available though.
Well you know my car Rick. I just want to get it running well.

Would the GT500 pump have no affect on performance?

I know this is a Ford site, but anybody know if there is a demand for old industrial Chevy engines?
Father has an old 327 out of a combine taking up space.

Every summer at harvest time, it was my job to man the battery booster while Dad was in the cab. The battery is down by the rear tires. It would take quite a while for fuel to get up to the engine (located behind that round screen by the cab). After much cranking, the engine would eventually fire, bark, and scare the crap out of me (since I was under those twin straight pipes).

Steel crank 327s are pretty cool birds.

Vintage 289s and 302s don't seem to be worth much unless a high output version so I expect the same is true for the bow tie versions.

No, water moving too fast means it won't extract the heat at the hot end or cool down properly at the other one.

Could be a small journal / steel crank combo, very desirable combo.
