I was trying to remember the last time I had a flat. Now I remember: had a flat with the F150, took the tire to Green&Ross. Same deal: I brought them the tire, just wanted it patched. They insisted on putting it back on the truck for me. Fine.
Come spring, I go to put my summer tires on, and sure enough I can't get that one off. They must of had the impact wrench set on 'ludicrous'.

All too common an occurance Don, no one heard of a torque wrench?
Same for filters on way too tight.

I've done every oil change on my new mustang. Put the filter on hand tight. Usually takes two hands to take off. So far so good. I've done it 5 times now. Twice on the focus too.

Had new elantra come in thus spring for second oil change, first one done at dealer...had to use 18" breaker bar on 3 jaw knurled filter wrench. Tried cup at first, then belt, than gear wrench. I called dealership to ream out shop manager.

Even the factory installed filter on my Elantra (1st oil change) I needed to muscle that sucker off!

Mostly, I had to supervise and check over everyrhing. She done good though.
