I was on board when it was all pushrod stuff, then the modular came around and it was essentially a turd, but most of the Ford faithful stayed with it, praising how great it was. All the while the LS engines were killing the ponycar game, and were also being transplanted into Mustangs more than any other car it seems, and most of the Ford faithful hated it. So now, after all these years they come back with a pushrod engine and act like it’s something new or revolutionary?

It’s not meant to be a second coming. It’s meant as the new gas alternative in Ford HD trucks. That’s not new for Ford. Recently they’ve had the 6.8L V10 and then 6.2L (both pushrod). Now this 7.3L.

It’s only big news because it’s a new motor.

Will it make it into a special edition Mustang or F150? Who knows. I heard one reviewer suggest they could easily sleeve it and have a 429 Boss Mustang.

    Sounds good to me.
