    Brake question

Hey guys I’m looking at getting my brake calipers rebuilt and powdercoated. Can anyone recommend a place?

We've seen a good numbers of calipers members have had powdercoated come back with binding issues due to coater not fully understanding where powder build up is ok.

Do you think paint is a better option?

Just paint them! I've always had great results with Tremclad (brushed on) rust paint. Remember prep is key.

Street duty? Painted will be fine.

Previous owner painted my calipers red. They were fine until I took them to TMP. I cooked them to a nice golden, marshmallow brown.

Or BBQ paint if it comes in the colour that you want ... usually cheaper!

Had my front calipers rebuilt at Mr. Caliper last summer. I think it was $140.00 for the pair rebuilt and painted. Had them done in about 90 minutes.
