    Fuel Leak

2000 4.6 GT. Went to go fill the car up for the first time yesterday. Well didn't really notice but as I was filling the gas decided to start leaking all out of the tank. Looks like it's coming from the centre of the tank. Doubt the tank is rusted out in there, what else should I be looking at as a trouble area.

Fuel filler neck gasket is very common.

Wonder if the threads in tank got damaged with all of the pump removals I’ve performed. Or folded over the gasket...

Is that sort of thing easy to change? Assuming a tank drop is in my future.

Yep, drop the tank, replace the seal. Easy enough I can do it.

Check see if it’s wet around the base of the filler neck.
