    Water temp gauge sensor location

    Hi all,

I'm going bonkers trying to get a correct answer (internet) on where to put in the sensor on a '96 cobra for a Phantom electric water temp gauge to get the best accurate reading. I know there are 3 locations, block, crossover tube or upper rad hose. please help! I can take anymore...lol.

    Thanks

Cross over tube is the best but only if you have a spot for it.

Can use your screw in sensor as the fill plug.

On the '96, it's in the middle of the crossover tube, so if needed, can still pop this adapter out and still fill it there, why I was on the fence on this location, just want an accurate reading and the least hassle for installing the sensor.

    Thanks Rick.

Absolute best spot is where the factory unit sits.
