    Oil Change OCD

I’m sure there might be a few chirps over this but I’ll put it out there for those who might be prone to being a bit OCD! I have always let my oil drain for several hours to get the most out that I can but realize there is still oil in the pan. So I roll a single paper towel into a tube and put in through the drain plug hole into the pan. It wicks about 6 oz of oil on my Shelby after sitting for a while.18D9B41B-2259-4953-93ED-622CE2CE91E1.jpegDBF288CB-0471-45BC-B55E-796102B0B24F.jpeg

Fact of the matter, engines, cost huge these days, few extra oil changes go a very long way.

I’ve poured in new oil in the past, kinda like this to pull that last bit of oil out of the pan.

My oil change OCD is limited to putting a bit of fresh oil into the new filter before installing.
Wicking out every last ounce of old oil is expert level OCD.

I like to remove the oil pan and clean it with each change.

That’s a bit excessive for me, I only pull the pan every third oil change.

I've always been told factory oil is the best so I just leave mine in. It's sealed so why do i need to change it?
