Here's my ride, Trek 3 Series. Been planning on getting serious in to it, just haven't had the time. With the kids getting older looks like this spring will be it for me. Plan to start out light and make it a consistent effort.

Competed in my first track race last night, 3 races. 30 lap (7.5km) scratch race (first to cross the line wins). 1km sprint against 5 other riders and a 24 lap team pursuit (teams of 10 start on either side of the track and try and catch the other team, if a team does not get caught, then whoever is further ahead after the 24 laps wins.

Was a total blast, results were okay for first time out. So much tactic and positioning to take into account, definately need to get more races under my belt

There a former Olympian, world and national champions etc there racing last night. Gord Singleton (the greatest ever Canadian track athlete) was racing. Nearly 60 years old and handing it to guys

We would have been pacing in around 45km/hr and the sprints getting into the mid 50's
Approximately 60 men and women out in total between 3 race classes
