So one of the 1993 GMP Cobras I preordered last Christmas arrived yesterday. So after a year of waiting I made my way to pick it up at the hobby shop and also ended up coming home with it and the lightening blue Autoart Shelby GT350R pictured above.

All I can say is wow! The detail on these modes is unreal, I will post some pictures very soon.

Here are the pictures as promised.

First the 93 Cobra by GMP:

    Love the detailed engine bay

Right down to the Fomoco motorcraft decals on the air intake!

Note the adjustable seat belts (the visors are also adjustable)

    Very detailed gauges

Hatch with Carpet and gas charged hatch struts!

Numbered limited unit (mine is #246)

    Very detailed undercarriage

Now for some GT350R pictures from AUTOart. This model is really interesting as it is actually not a true die cast. AUTOart has pioneered the use of composite body panels that are bonded to a diecast space frame/unibody (much like the actual production cars). Detail of the panels is very impressive.

That mean front end with actual mesh grills and proper grill emblem!

Real mesh grills on front end and the hood vent.

Realistic wheels with cross drilled rotors (that move with the wheels), detailed brembo calipers (that stay in place like the real car), wheel studs, actual centre caps (yes the centre caps can come off)

Nicely detailed engine bay complete with prop rod and open element filter like the actual cars:

Note the detailed emblems/labels on the strut bar and around the engine bay caps

Carpeted interior with fabric seats and rubber mats and detailed door sills!

Carpeted trunk (which I am not sure if R models come with carpet but its cool on a model):
