    TV advice

Last day or so Netflix no longer works on my 60" Sharp Aquos. Not supported anymore on whatever software version I have.

My TV is at least 7 or 8 years old, has never given me a lick of trouble and the picture quality is fantastic. Not having Netflix now sucks though.

Maybe it's time to get a new one? My current one was like 3 grand back in 2011 boxing day I think, I see 60" UHD's now for around 800 bucks.

Last year I got a 50" LG for the bedroom on boxing day for like 499 and it's been very good, but I almost never use it. Netflix still works there.

Need to know if I can get around Netflix on my current TV (like use Apple TV or some other way) or if I should just get a new one since they are under a grand.

I can't go bigger than 60" in the living room as it will not be appropriate to the mantle.

Get an Amazon Fire TV stick 4K, it was just on sale on black friday for $35.00. Maybe wait for Boxing day, hopefully it'll be the same price again.

Just picked up a Fire stick from amazon on cyber Monday, but apparently it won't be shipped until 2020...I guess they sold a few of them. You can run Netflix through most gaming systems as well.

I picked up a little Sony Black Box, little more expensive than the fire sticks but I wanted the Blu-ray capability as well (have a lot of discs) but it also streams anything you can think of

Think I paid around $60-$70 not on sale...

If you have an Xbox. We have the 80” Aquos and Netflix is a hit and miss on it. When it won’t load up I go on my Xbox. If you have an Xbox, good to go.

We run everything through Apple TV. Works great on my 12 y/o Sharp Aquos.

Google Chrome Cast. It’s $50 and plugs into the tv HDMI port. Casts off your phone apps - Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime etc.
