    TR6060 Fluid

What's the best ATF to use in a Tremec 6060? Lots of good reviews on Amsoil, but technically it does look like it's approved for the 6060. Mobil 1 ATF looks like it's hard to get? Any idea's? I have 2 qts of the Amsoil already which would mean only having to buy 2 more, that would be a bonus.

If it was mine, either non synthetic ATF or Amsoil Syncromesh fluid.

I called Tremec Tech support a couple of years ago and they recommended Mobil 1. I‘ve been running it for a couple of years and it does seem to shift a bit smoother.

Also spoke with them about suggested fluid for the T56, same answer, trans does not shift well with it compared to either non syn ATF or Syncromesh or Chryslers Viper spec fluid (damm that fluid is expensive). On the race track after fluid subjected to big heat, difference between fluids that work well vs ones that work ok increased dramatically.

Good info, the heat and load produced on the track are the best indicator. Back when I changed my fluid the Syncromesh was spec’d by Amsoil for the TR6060 for some reason. What’s the Viper fluid - Castrol Syntorq?
