I finally got to tow the trailer with the car loaded up and I wasn’t disappointed.
    Huge difference vs stock coils.
Highly recommended mod for Ram owners.

It’s been a couple years since I’ve updated this thread so here it goes with my latest issue which I’m sure some of you can relate to.

My truck has 17K on it and the majority has been on the 401 and exposed to some bugs/stone chips.
The steel bumper has thin factory black paint and once chipped we all know the outcome over time.

The truck hasn’t even been winter driven yet and my plan is to keep it for many years to come especially with the prices of new trucks.
SO after talking to my neighbour who owns a LineX shop he had the same issue with his truck so he put in some time masking and prepping and coated the front bumper with LineX for protection.

I’m definitely getting him to do mine and actually like the looks of it!
    What do you guys think?

    Thanks Rick.

My previous FX4 front bumper got bad with stone chips/rust over time and really looked like $hit.
I took it to the dealer and they said it was a very common problem and the only fix was replacing it with a chrome bumper.

So I hit it with an electric sander and painted it with undercoating/rust black paint and it was better…especially from 15ft away.

I think this has everything to do with the paint thickness they spray on them when new.
Certain manufacturers apply thicker paint and it keeps the front ends looking in good shape even after high mileage and some not so much.

IMHO, inexcusable all of the mfgs have the exact same problem. Not like these trucks cost 5 bucks new.

Same. I’ve seen beater trucks in person that were linex’d from head to toe.. looks great, easy to clean and never scratches. Great for a work truck.
