I was about to reinstall the rear bumper cover and noticed that there was only one side of the bumper pad that was held with a rivet. Is this normal? I could not see any indication that there was one on the other side.

Here are pics of right and left sides. I suspect that it does require a second rivet. And trying to find an inch long rivet with stores closed is difficult. But I was hoping that someone would tell me that they just put one at the manufacturer to keep the absorber on the car before the cover went on. There is up/down movement on the side with no rivet and I was thinking it could be a source bumping noise? Maybe I'm overthinking.

Leave it, you won’t hear it.
You can see the witness outline of the rivet head in the foam on the left side.
I use Black Gorilla tape to wrap all way around to secure to rebar, very common to see on both front / rear.
LOL...i thought about that but thought it was too "redneck". Thanks
