Far from fair. People want too much for these cars. Mustangs used to be affordable muscle cars. The prices are unreasonable.

Being a PP2 car, not far off where it should be.

It's a PP2, one model under a Shelby, of course it isn't going to be cheap.
Comparing a PP2 to what is now a Mach 1, hell of a deal. Save yourself 35k.

Agreed, people forget how much these cars cost new. If you get a loaded GT premium with 401a package plus the performance pack 1 or 2 it is easily a 60k+ car.

For the performance you get for that money it still makes it decent bang for the buck even if it is a lot more bucks than it used to be.

Then throw in some mods which are a lot more than they used to be and you can add another $10k easy (without supercharging or turbocharging which will add another $15k+ to your cost if you choose to add boost.)

Bottom line is you have to pay the band if you want to dance these days.

I’ve said it before: would love to see them come out with an inexpensive stripper LX model.

Don, they have that. It’s the base GT which is a lot of car for $43k. Before the chip shortage you were even able to get a base GT PP1 for around mid $40s which is a steal these days considering what everything costs.

Also, remember that the eco boost Mustang gives you way more performance and luxury than any new stock fox ever did and they start in the low $30k range.

Not really a parts find but an easier way to upgrade the rear rotors of a S197 to larger ones without having to pull the axles out and change out the entire bracket.
