    Sound Deadening - Education please

I am considering adding sound deadening to the floor of my 66 while the interior is out

Tell what I need to know.

Is Dynamat the only way to go or are the lower cost competitors worth a look?

Noico seems to have good reviews

    Thanks

Have brown bread (now B-quiet) in my car and it's great.

Noico is the stuff 359Twinsticks (youtube) used on his Pete and I think he had great things to say about it.

I used Noilco 80 mil car sound deadening mat (part number SNL1) for sound deadening purposes and 170 mil sound and heat insulation (NL3004D) to keep interior temps down and very pleased the results from both products.

Did you notice an asphalt smell on hot days with the Noico product?

Used brown bread in my 83 when I built it - worked great..... Removing it for sandblasting (what a pain)

I recently picked up some Killmat on Amazon - I know some guys in the performance audio world that use it with no complaints. 50sqFT for 90 bucks

This website is the bible for sound deadening. They stopped selling their own products last year, but they still have all the tech info up and it's a good read.

If your looking to remove noise from resonating panels then CLD tiles like Noico or brown bread or dynamat are what your looking for. If your looking to reduce road noise then you need a foam product to absorb that noise.
I used both the Noico products in my '04 vert with great results for the price. No asphalt smell in the hot weather at all and no seeping out from behind panels either. Very pleased.
