    front rim fitment question

I picked up a 1990 Coupe which already has 13" cobra brakes on the front...my game plan was to run 17" front drag wheels and 15" rears, however the cost of the wheels that i wanted to do this with are very likely to be way to much money so im looking at a plan B which would allow me to run the ever trusted 15" weld draglites on all 4 corners. Is there a safe wheel spacer that would allow me to run a 15" draglites with the Cobra brakes and not look stupid by sticking out past the front fender lips?

    Thanks for the help

    Josh

Not look stupid is the key there, and the answer is no, they will stick out. Get the proper wheels, or run smaller brakes.

Check out LMR SVE drag rims or Race Stars.
I personally have Race Stars with 17” front to also clear my Cobra brakes and 15” on the rear.

I use 1/2 inch spacers when using prostar track tires BUT my studs are 3 inches long...I used spacers 30+ years ago on stock studs and rear tire rim came off car while making a turn off square in goderich...small damage to car but very embarrassing....
