18” rims that fit over the 4 piston Brembos

So I’m going be to installing the S197 4 piston Brembos on the V6 next year. So trying to confirm fitments for 18” rims for the winter. Doesn’t have to be this year. I can hold off until next year. In the summer I’m planning on 19” rims.

Various websites confirm fitments of various wheels but haven’t seen actual pictures of such wheels on the S197 with Brembos.

When I’m searching I always enter 07-12 GT500 or Boss302 or GT w/ Brembo if the option is there.

Obviously 18x9.5 GT500 wheels fit but those are too wide.

I’ve seen the Drag DR31 wheel so that’s confirmed. 18x8 35offset. That rim is a copy of the Work Emotion CR Kai so I suspect all the copies should work with the correct offset. Also seen a pic of the S550 with PP Brembos using the same Drag wheel using a 1 1/2” spacer. I know many companies copy this wheel design but I don’t know what they call them.

On Kijiji someone was selling Touren TR9 that they had on their GT with Brembos. Those wheels have horrible lug holes drilled out. It’s a multi fit and they drilled the holes next to each other instead equal spacing like other manufacturers. Must be why they have lug covers. Would make a good spare rim.

There are a few wheels on Kijiji that I’ve found that websites that say should fit.

    Enkei EKM3
    RTX Envy
    Fast FC04

Trying to find used rather than new because it’s cheaper and it’s for the winter.

So if you know of any wheels that will fit, please chime in.

Tire Rack’s website bothers me. Searched 07-12 GT500 and only 2 rims came up. Then searched 2014 GT with Brembo brakes and 40 rims came up.

    Thanks. PM sent.

I’ve sent an email to Touren about their TR76 wheel about fitment. Both their site and canadawheels and wheelwiz all say they fit and they’re going for $550 plus tax for a set. Not many pics of the them on cars but the ones I did see were on Mercs and BMWs with big brakes. One pic of them on a S550 with 4 piston calipers but couldn’t tell if the wheel was 18 or 19.

So The Wheel Group, parent company, responded to me about the Touren wheels. They said they should fit. So I’ll order the wheels and see.

Shipping is free from canadawheels so just paying taxes pretty much. With new skinny lugs, hub rings and valve stems it comes up $707 taxes included. Hopefully no hidden fees extra.

Just gotta get some new TPMS and I’ll be good to go.

It’s so close. I was hoping for a few mm more clearance. Guess I’ll have to bolt it up on the weekend and see. Rims do look nice though.

Could always slip some 3 mm spacers in there if needed, you should still get enough thread engagement.

I’m thinking that too if it doesn’t clear or too close for comfort. I’m hoping once I get it bolted on it clears. With the mockup I had the pads in the calipers so I can align it with the rotor but even then it’s a guesstimate as I don’t know how outward the caliper has to be.

Well I got everything bolted up and tightened down and I’ve got about 2mm of clearance. Since I’ll be putting on the Brembos in the summer once I’ve repainted them, I’ll probably get a 3mm or 5mm spacer for next winter. Don’t need them now since the stock brakes are on.

    Fitment confirmed.
