If you can do it, I think you should get the ST. As far as I know the ST comes with every option, maybe even the massage seats and other things that if you're driving 250K, you'll want in the truck.

I had a 2017 Explorer XLT with a 3.5 NA V6 and just over one year ago I moved up to the 2020 Explorer ST. There is no comparison, the Explorer has the 3.0 Turbo which is a new motor for that year. I have about 16K on the truck and it's been awesome. Ford Performance really stepped up with this offering, it's like a domestic BMW X5 for much less cost.

The 2.7 eco is now the standard motor in the Ford F150, they dropped the N/A V6 altogether. It's plenty enough for an F150, even hauling an open trailer. I only went 3.5 eco because I tow an enclosed trailer. Almost all my friends except for one all have the 2.7 eco and they love it hands down.

The 2.0 Ecoboost I think is the upgraded motor for the Escape, it prolly does fine in an Edge, but if you can get an ST......doooooo it.

    ^ 3.3L N/A V6 is still the base motor for 2021 F150’s.

I'm sure you're right but on the Ford.ca site choose any crew cab and the base motor is the 2.7. I also saw in two u.s. dealer YouTube vids that the 302A only comes 2.7, diesel, 3.5 and powerboost. Also, you can't get 2.7 with a long box apparently. The xl sport appearance option is gone for regular cabs in 2021. But I'm sure you have more detail than me.

No actually, I just went to the Ford.ca site after you posted because that was new info to me. But I was able to spec an XLT s-crew with a 5.5’ bed and 4x4 and the base motor is the 3.3 n/a. The 2.7 EB is a $900 option.

    Not with a 6.5 bed.

Yes. As soon as you tick 6.5’ bed, it automatically puts in the 2.7EB. 5.5’ bed XL, XLT standard equipment engine is the 3.3L N/A.
