We had many slant-sixes, in cars, pickups, and even farm equipment. Such a solid engine. Never seen an aluminum one.

I had a leaning tower of power in my 1976 Plymouth Volare, which probably would be running to this day if the Volare didn't rot away. My dad's cousin had a slant six on a combine on his farm, it never failed.

Solid lifters in them until '81. Back in the day adjusted a shiat ton of em. Once set to spec, so quiet you'd think they were hydraulic.
