I don't know about your area but around here those tiny black fly's called midges have been swarming around bigtime.

Bad enough riding a bicycle through those swarms.
They can easily get in your eyes, mouth, nose, ears.
    Hate those damn things.

If you want fancy you can go with this LOL. But in all seriousness it’s not really worth it.

I'd like to clean, prep and treat the window channels before it goes but that means the windshield needs to come out.

Towing is a $250 option. Yes please.

Would you drive it that far with no windshield? NFW

    Tow it? Of course.

Just ask the shop to pull the window and do the prep? You might be on to something here.

I'm not sure of the applicable laws but there are plenty of motor vehicles that don't have a windshield or it can be folded down. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

It all sounds good until you take a rock/debris to the eye, forehead or throat.

Go buy a cheap piece of plexiglass type stuff at home depot, trim it to fit, duct tape it in place.. You need to watch Roadkill more. lol They do it all the time and it works great. Keep in mind with no back window exhaust fumes might be a problem but it's only 45kms
