    Plastic covers that hold down the 5.0 cover,

    There are 2 areas that bolt the engine cover on and I just found out that they have caps, mine came with out ?? finally did find one in the bottom of the engine bay but cannot locate the other one , anyone else missing these , do they just fly off when they get hot, wonder if its worth replacing,

    Personally I would remove that large 3rd generation engine cover altogether. It traps unnecessary heat in the motor and in my opinion does not add to the appearance of the engine bay.

    Side benefit besides reducing heat is that removal will make it easier to inspect the motor when needed, reduce weight slightly and make it easier to add a passenger side oil catch can to help protect the motor.

    You can then replace it with the Ford Performance engine dress up kit:
