    T56 or T6

Not sure what direction to head in ..... IF parts don t work out, where and what to look into, best for the job. Might end up shoppin for new/used tranny for my 99 GT. Any suggestions or things to look for?? 5 vs 6 speed?? T56 or tko 600 ?? Pros n cons for each?? ... Really bummed about this possible direction ....

I bought a new TKO600 about 5 years ago then had spend more and purchasing carbon fibre sychros to be able to shift over 6000 rpm reliably... and every 3 years change sychros...i going auto and high stall when this manual gives up completely...

I would go with a TKX, that’s my plan but like any good thing about covid, you’ll be waiting until spring unfortunately

Your making enough torque now to take advantage of a 6 spd. In same breathe, if it's as good as billed, new Tremec trans looks like a winner.

Either a used T56, a brand new TKX or find a used TKO 500/600 depending on your clutch.
Careful when buying a TKO, they make two different gear ratio's, one is the roadrace gear ratio which is not ideal for a streetcar.

How ? When I was researching I seen them saying you need to order now if you want it in spring.
