Looking for an OEM Cobra steering rack. Must have the SPR-ZM engraving

If I recall correctly it was only 03/04 that had the engraved SPR-ZM. Older cobras had a different rack. I have one in my fox and love it

I believe a SN95 Mach rack is the same as the Cobra.

The Cobra rack is scarce, the Cobra R rack is the unicorn. I had a shot at an R rack years ago and didn't realize it was the holy grail, missed out. I regret that more than the phone number I accidentally put through the laundry.

My understanding, 03/04 are unique as is the Cobra R.

Correct, 03-04 Cobra racks are the SPR-ZM stamping. They are sometimes available to order as a remanufactured part from Ford, but currently they are on back order due to a severe core shortage according to the USA info ... go figure. Any of the 99-04 GT / Cobra / Bullitt / Mach I racks will be an improvement over the factory Fox racks.

another option might be to find a used, tired bullitt or mach rack and have it rebuilt or rebuild it yourself. I've had good luck using John Stewart Power Brake for rebuilding racks, pumps and of course calipers.

I was going by this chart on maximum motorsports(scroll down to the chart)

Have used John Stewart for calipers many times.

Not sure of the rack that’s in my 98 cobra but it does have a heavy oncenter feel to it
