Electrical Question - Outlet Box Extension

Had siding installed on the cottage this year. The strapping, insulation and siding added 3" to the exterior. Was able to extend all octagon electrical boxes for lights using box extensions. But I can't find anything suitable to extended rectangular outlet boxes. As can be seen in the pictures the mounting blocks for outlets are indented. It is about 1" from the original outlet box front edge to the vinyl mouting block front edge. Anyone have an idea of what type of box extension would work for this?

    Any other ideas?

I would recommend this type of box extender for your application. Arlington BE1 single gang.

I looked around quickly online, can't seem to find it available at any of the big box stores. Best would be to call around to some of the local electrical suppliers.

Are you allowed to use non metallic on metallic for this type of application?

If you have a local electrical supplier who sells Hubble products? Bell actually makes them. I would recommend this extension.

I'm no electrician, I can't see this being an issue as long as the outlet is properly grounded.

I used the plastic style on my granite back splash for a 1 1/4" extension. Don't remember the name but they could extend into box to take up the slack, so plugs were flush with plate.
Forget the Home Depot, etc and go to the electrical wholesalers, when not too many real electricians are there, and the will sell to you.
