opinions on shark fin roof antenna for Fox

I've been considering using a shark fin style amplified antenna on my Fox hatch. I'm thinking rear center of the roof just in front of the hatch or on the top of the hatch itself.

    What do you guys think?

I've shaved the whip antenna already. My factory whip style would oscillate in certain wind or speed conditions and that flexed the paint over time just enough to cause a crack and rust. I currently have an amplified antenna embedded in the rear view mirror but suspect I'll get better reception with a shark fin style. I don't hate this newer style antenna.

Maybe a photo shop would help in the decision?

I might just grab one from a local yard and set it in place for a photo

Seems like a pimple on a super models ass to me.

Would just grab a amplified antenna and mount inside cowl or fender, then delete or block off plate. I did that to my car, gets enough FTA stations I'm happy with it.
