Needed new hardware for the rear brakes on the Accord. Was gonna buy from Rockauto, but checked Amazon by chance. Surprisingly found AC Delco brand for 6$.

Time to say goodbye to my X3 M40i in two days. It’s been a slice. Sadly the seats were so firm that my right side of my ribs hurt so much it became unbearable.

Isn’t that the X3 M40i in the pics? So what did you buy? (That is the title of the thread)

And what’s up with BMW seats?
I can’t make it to the cottage when we take the wife’s Mini. We often take the truck despite the mileage hit.

You got me Don. Yes, BMW and Mini seats are hard as heck. It is odd that my M2 seats are not nearly as hard as the X3.

So, this is what I have now ended up with. A nice reliable 4 door sedan. A 2022 Lexus IS350 F Sport. This was the only new one in Ontario. The paint colour is Atomic Silver which is a muted silver colour. Absolutely beautiful in person.

Went by the dealership to check it out last night as it came from their "Storage facility" and was happy as heck. No Turbo and comfy seats. Loved it.

I found the mini and 440 seats comfortable. As someone who sits in a car the most part of the day I tend to be picky. But I do prefer a firm seat with lots of adjustment.

That F is sharp. What motor are they using in those? I know some a disturbingly quick for a sedan.

I tried for months trying different settings on the X3 and not one thing made my ride enjoyable at all. It goes to show you to spend more than 10 minutes in a vehicle before buying. I am sure that he run flat tires were not helping me one bit. These seats were quite different compared to my M2 which were much more comfortable. I believe that your 440 seats are similar in design. The seats in the Lexus is one of the most comfortable seats that I sat on in quite some time. I drove the IS350 several time for quite a bit before making the decision. It was a toss up between the Genesis G70 and this vehicle.
The motor in this is a slow motor actually. It is a 3.5 V6 putting out 311hp so it is plenty quick for day to day and ultra reliable which is the most important thing.

Nice purchase Scrape. Looks like the perfect DD with a nice dose of luxury.

Yeah. We test drove an x3 and x4. Just didn’t seem as comfortable. I chalked it up to the low floor with no leg room. Unlike most other suvs that have a lot more space vertical from the floor to the seat height.

There was actually better leg room in the back seat of the 440 that there was in the back seat of the X4

I kind of like that the manufactures are doing the F sport and with ford the ST line. So you get the sporty appearance but have the option of a better ride and better fuel economy with standard motors.
    They have been huge sellers.

The new ride is home. Big thanks to Bill and the team at Heritage Ford. Great service as usual.
