Got the Firestones on today. Grip seems to be good but find drive feels better. Didn’t do a ton of driving-20km- but felt great.

Wish it looked as good in pics as it does in person, graphics pop against the black.
Replacing my '22 was not part of the original plan, lost it in an accident a few weeks ago.

    New hybrid furnace/heatpump.

Replaced the 25 y/o A/C and furnace with a new hybrid system, taking advantage of the rebate program.
New outdoor unit is so much quieter. Indoor unit switches to gas if the heatpump can’t keep up.

Good move on the gas backup. Around here they seem to try and sell everyone electric back up.

That's what we got almost 2 years ago. Only been a few times that the gas backup kicked in since then and only in January. The outside unit is below our walkout deck and it's so much quieter out there during the summer versus the central A/C unit it replaced....much more pleasant when using the deck in the summer.

That's what we did at our cottage. We installed the same heat pump, but with ductless headunits indoors. Put the outdoor unit under the cottage. Way quieter, cleaner looking, well protected, etc.

Question about this. Assuming lots of air flow was already a consideration. Shaded unit in summer will cool better and more efficient. Would it not also be true that in winter when the unit is pulling heat from out doors would you not want as much sun exposure as possible?

Not sure if that kind of thermal differential would make a difference with these units?
