I had a neighbor with an original mini and 350 chev motor wedged in. The drive shaft was no more than 6 inches long. Major engine encroachment into the passenger compartment, solid rear axle. I forget tranny but assume auto. I heard it start and run a few times but never witnessed it rolling. He moved a few years back.

Wow thats a shame, those cars are awesome in original form, they’re truly something special. Were I to do anything with one it would be a Dohc honda/Nissan 4 cyl swap, but to each his own.

They have shops that do that here. Doesn’t cost that much because Honda parts are cheap and plenty. But an LS turbo in that little mini ? Hell yes!

Get a timing cover with a front distributor. Fi- tech or a Holley TBI on a carb intake and I bet you fool a few people thinking it’s a Ford power plant
Stock engine Fox equipped with the Maximum Motorsports catalog. Now I have lots of Trick Flow stickers.

If I had the money to do it - I would have done it a while back.
Seems to be much cheaper and responds to mods way better than my 2v.
