Some cool pieces from a Canadian company (although the watches are Swiss made).

I received a 50's vintage Gruen Ocean Chief watch as a teenager.
Wore it daily until the late 80's so shows the wear.
Anybody have "great" results having old vintage watches repaired / rebuilt.
Parts will be an issue.
Would like to keep it in the family.
This guy in St.Thomas is close to you and highly regarded.

OK thanks, did not know about him.
That sounds like a good option to check out. I think there was a Toronto repair shop as well posted earlier in the thread but I haven't search for it.
Added this guy to my collection today, have a few of Aragon (formerly Android) watches now nice pieces:

2004 SVT Cobra - Sold
2004 SVT Lightning - Sold
Nice blue dial.
Has anyone had an older quality watch appraised for value as well as it's condition?
Not a large number production watch so rarer.
And who did you go with. Better to get a quote before getting it repaired since it is all original at present.
Local watch maker said he wasn't comfortable in a quote since not too many were made and he was not familiar with their values.
Would Oliver be a good option?
I've used this place to do work on my Omega. They may be able to offer an appraisal.
