    which came first?

Has anyone else noticed how much the Calgary Stampeders logo and the Mustang logo are alike, and which came first, isn't this a copywriting infringement?
After just a little research, It looks like Ford was first with the 1964 Mustang whereas the Stampeders first created the horse logo in 1978.
I wonder why Ford didn't take the football team to court.

Firstly they don't care about us Canadians we are just small potatoes to Americans and big firms. Look at population of NY city to Canada's pop in Alberta.
Secondly every body sues Ford, not the other way around.

Stampeders have some documentation that shows their horse logo was conceived or discussed at least 5 years prior to the unveiling of the Mustang so if Ford were to sue them, they have enough proof that a lawyer could argue they created it which if a judge agreed would cost Ford more than they could gain here. End of the day not many people are going to confuse a football team with a car so it's not really a huge issue for either party.
