    BBK MAF question

Hi guys - I'm new here. Recently installed some Bosch 24# injectors with BBK MAF on my '91. Car runs/idles beautifully but my engine light is on... Won't have a chance to pull codes till next week at some point but just wondering if anyone might know why this combination is turning my engine light on... ?

    Engine mods include:
    Edelbrock Performer Heads
    F303
    75mm TB
    Cobra Upper/Lower
    CAI with conical filter
    24# injectors
    225 fuel pump
    Timing 16º
    Fuel Pressure: 38psi

    Thnx!

    Hey Jeff.
Is it the correct calibration for 24lb injectors?
If it is, ready codes n see what popped up.

Looks good from here although I would have tried 19lb.ers of the hop.

Not that it's causing a code, but is your CAI filter shielded from fan wash?

Also, did you do a Base Idle reset since the build has been fired?

Engine is making too much HP for 19lbers. It's night and day difference with the 24lbers...

Will consider the idle reset once I have a chance to scan. Thnx!!

If the previous 19lbers were in clean/serviceable condition, I would have great difficulty believing that.

Just be sure that you are at operating temperature before doing the Base Idle reset.

Same train of thought here in the stock injectors.
Interested to see what code it spits out.

How much HP can the orange tops support – my rule of thumb has always been anything up to 300... And I'm already there at the rear tires... ?

Will let you know on the codes!

Thnx for your input guys. Appreciate.

So I finally had some time to look at this more closely. Went over my connections and found that the EGR was left unplugged from the injector swap. MAF is fine of course. Running mint yet again. Thnx for putting up with me lol!!
