    Fuel system idea?

so i have a 95 Mustang GT with stock fuel rails and a stock tank and pump holder but the rest of the system is missing. my idea is this :
Convert my OEM fuel pump holder to AN fitting by buying a 6AN and 8AN plug, drill the appropriate hole through the plug, cut the factory flange off the holder and weld the AN plug with a hole in it, onto the holder.
then run Stainless braided lines from the tank, directly to the rail using the Russell OEM fuel rail fittings and of course adding in a filter somewhere on the feed line.? I dont see why this wouldn't work, it retains the stock, in tank pump and gets rid of the Risk of fire from the OEM rubber fuel lines in the engine bay.

    Let me know your thoughts.

May also keep the feed line at 6AN and just increase the return line to 6AN

Just be sure to run PTFE and not regular braided line if you go that route so your car doesnt stink of gas fumes

Is this for a stock block based build?

Just food for thought on line/pump sizing:

You can shove enough fuel through the stock lines + rails to grenade a stock block with a 255/340LPH in-tank pump.
