    Agreed, should get longer studs.When i went through tech, he stuck his pen inside and sorta measured how much was needed to come out to make it flush or sorta sortta the edge of the rim....Ya don t wanna not pass tech, ruin day..Sometimes even depends were ya goi,,, Sparta not as strict as TMP , Grand bend is prob most strict...Better to be as safe as possible, not just ok..

    On a S197 ARP stud versus an OEM stud. The head of the McGard lug nut for Racestars is not engaged by the OEM threads. When I raced in the 70's the NHRA ruling was 3" studs in all modified classes. Personally I would not risk using the OEM studs.

    ^^ thanks for the pic. It illustrates the issue well. Thread of stud is into the nut a little but not going to risk it. Putting new longer studs in this week.
