    Wacky volts gauge

Ok guys I start the car and it stays at 14 ,as I start driving and hit the gas it climbs all the way to 18 and the gas gauge drops to empty , I hit the brakes and the volts gauge goes back to 14 and the gas gauge returns to normal what the hell is going on lol. Any help would be awesome

I'd start with checking engine and body grounds. Remove and clean spotless, recheck.

I"d still be checking connections closely, specially the ground + plug into the alt itself.
