    F-150 No heat question

Hey guys, not a mustang- but a proud owner non the less.

My 2010 f-150 Lariat seems to have no heat all of a sudden. I topped up the antifreeze today and motor runs at normal temp so i know thermostat is good. switches between windshield, floor and vents fine.

if i switch from cold to hot on knob feel no difference. slightly hot but nothing hot by any means. touched both hoses at firewall going into heater core and both are dead cold. truck has 120k on it.

    what could be the issue?

If the hoses at the core are cold then you either have a blockage or air in the system. What I would do to start is take off one of the heater core hoses and see if there's coolant in it, if not, grab a long funnel and stick it in the hose, hold it above the engine and fill it with coolant until it comes out the heater core where you took the hose off. Recheck.

I'd be tempted to say pull both hoses off the core and flush in each direction with a garden hose, refill and recheck. Can you see if Ford has an inline restrictor in one of the hoses?

Most times the restrictor will look like a hump in the hose like this with a clamp or similar to keep in place. Other times, it will look like a plastic inline joiner.

    EATC or manual air conditioning?

They are definitely known for the Temperature blend door actuators going out. There is 2 if it's the lower one it is easy to get to, if it's the upper one...... Have fun........

    Blower motor works ok?

I'd normally have started off with blend door as well but he's reporting hoses are cold.
