I am quick and dirty so I mask off what I want to play with with the polygon lasso then bring to a new layer
you can play with desaturating the layer and overlaying colors in a separate layer (depends on color) and playing with blending or what I do is just open a hue/coloration adjustment layer and play with it, turn of applying to other layers and often colorize helps on lighter colors. The gold on the wheels I just overlayed 40% yellow on so you dont even have to mask if you dont want too.
I can send you the file if you want with it all in place so you can adjust/
I just snapped my glasses in the center, now i must go tape them with white tape......

when I had my 84 1/2 painted after the SVO conversion, we used the original paint code, painter told me there was lots of purple in it. Loved the colour and it was OEM. Used Glasurit/BASF and still looked new after 20 yrs without sanding.

    Original paint:

so armen apparently in CS6 at least there is actually a "color replacement Brush" how about that.. I tried it painting joes car white, and it resulted with this, I tired green and it looks like a chrome wrap... so to me Ill stick with the other method

I still think with your wheels and stance going for something lighter would look awesome

That's the one I like the best. It's like a putty grey.

This decision just got much harder. I honestly like the white with gold wheels the best.

My engine bay is already cyber grey, i wonder if i could do white with cyber grey accents and leave the bay grey (maybe the 85 style hood stripe)
