Any real benefit to remote mount TFI

Looking at this considering it's so cheap to do and I have heat sinks from old computers laying around I could even make one up with a fan. Opinions?

They really don't fail all that often (assuming OEM Ford of course).

Remote mounted version in the later pick up trucks fail at about the same rate.

More of a benefit in very hot weather climates I think. Typical Ontario summers won't kill them like Florida, Arizona, or southern Cali.

The time spent making this would be better spent elsewhere even if it won't cost you a dime.

If you feel you need to do something, take the TFI module off, clean the two mating surfaces and reinstall with thermal paste. Also, make sure your fan clutch or electric fan is in good operating condition.
