    I put mine on the drivers side of the mirror.
    Its been in for a month and nobody has noticed it until I point it out.

    other option is aim the camera up higher so it only catches the shaker, and none of the dash reflection.

    wonder if there are polarizing filters you could apply? might cut down on the glare.

    i'll try it out tonight with it aiming a little higher, but I'd like the horizon to be as close to the middle as possible. the filter is an interesting idea. thanks.

    Nope the glass. It comes with a holder so you can take it out if you need.
    Somebody finally noticed it the other night as there is a small light that flashes to tell you its recording lol
