    GT500/Boss 302 diff cover

anyone ever mod these to have a fill and drain plug? I see Steeda.ca sells them in both , OEM and modded version with the only difference being they added the 2 ports. However they are fairly pricey , just like every other cover out there.

I can get the GT500 finned cover for 100.00 and drill and tap both holes myself. Anyone else done this? i dont think i am missing something that they have done that I can not do myself and Save BIG money.

I figure it cant be hard to add the holes like they did.

Gonna have enough clearance between it and the spare tire well? Typically only extra tight on Fox bodies.

Use a small screwdriver and clean it out spotless, take an extension you don't particularly like and insert it, now give it a few sharp raps with a mid size hammer, now try it.

I have a panhard bar too, but it looks to me that the highest part of the cover is where it clears the ring gear so it should still fit.

If your not looking for any extra cooling or anything did you price out the OEM one at a dealer? They are like $45.
