If you are like me then you shudder at the thought of letting anyone else work on your car. I looked into this recall for the drivers airbag. Turns out it's easy and cheap enough to do it yourself. Took 20 minutes. mostly because I took 5 minutes to get the stupid fuse box cover off. Here's the instructions. http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/acms/cs...4V802-0185.pdf The part number for the thing is 5R3Z-63043813-A It costs $15.28 list price. You need a 5/16 socket to change it. The same socket you need to remove the airbag from the steering wheel. My dealer mentioned that Ford is only allowing them to order 2 per week. Even comes in a box with a return shipping label in case you feel like sending the old one back. It was worth the money for me to have peace of mind.
