looks like the front pump assembly/seal is gone on my 88 auto, is it good to just replace pump/seal or will it be a temp fix and the tranny will eventually fail? Tranny has shift kit with 2400 stall and works fine no slippage or obvious problems. I don't want to go through all the work of replacing pump and having it fail and having to replace or rebuild it.
If you mean leaking out the front / converter seal? No reason not to just change it.
going to replace pump, looking for parts online and having no luck finding parts or prices in canada , don't like going to parts store without knowing, any ideas on how much the pump costs and best place to purchase?
Not sure if they sell to the public or not, King o matic in Scarb.
