    Fox T5 Overheating?

Hey guys. I have an 88 fox with t5. I bought it about a year ago. Second gear has always been hard to get in to, and this spring i had broken a couple napa clutch cables. I bought an oem cable, and billet quadrant and firewall adjuster. Its been doing well the past month.

Tonight i was running around town. Drove for approx an hour and noticed my console/shifter was getting very hot. I could barely touch the metal on the emergency brake handle. Will check the fluid level tomorrow.

My car has also recently lost all its power past 3500 rpm in third and fourth gear. Second gear also fades out around 4000 almost as if theres a limiter. It just so happens all this started after i got my car "alligned".

I have 3 things in mind.

Fuel system- bad pump or clogged filter
Clutch/trans- bent fork, broken clutch spring, blown tranny.
Ignition- spark plugs n wires. Eletrical short?

    Not sure where to start.

Only time my old tranny got hot it had no oil, ended up seizing the input shaft to the main shaft on a Tremec 3550 after about a 60 mile drive.

    Converter issue sounds very possible.

Wouldnt that require disconnecting just before the cats and taking a test drive?

Mac shorty headers and dual flowmasters were on it when i bought it. I noticed a small leak at the manifold the other day. Would make sence if the cat is plugged, that pressure has to go somewhere
