2.3 ranger...

2.3 shares a similar engine mount location as the 5.0? I'm looking at some 2.3 rangers and wouldnt mind a stock MAF 5.0 swap with AOD or C4 for a reliable and fun daily. Or turbo the 2.3 since there's lots of support for these 4 bangers. I guess worst part of a v8 swap is the custom exhaust? Never did a ranger before, just fox bodies and a v6 sn95...

I had a 94 ranger splash that we dropped a carbed 302 in. Little bit of simple fab work had the motor fitting like a glove. Exhaust wasn't too bad. Had a set of long tubes that we cut the collectors off, extended the down pipes and reconnected the collectors. Was a very fun truck. Sold it about 3 months later for twice what I had into it. Then helped my buddy swap in a built 351w with nos. into his ranger, both ours started out as the 3.0l
