Cool Is your ride getting enough regular service?

Just like the title says, are you getting enough regular service done on your ride? So your '05 or '06 only has 30k on the clock, your mindset may be it's too new to need anything beyond the odd oil change (even then, maybe not often enough) but all it's other fluids are 10yrs old. Yup, brake fluid, trans fluid and diff fluids are old old old. Had the caliper slides serviced, front end checked, are the tires still in date? Stuff like that plus belts and hoses are far too often overlooked and just begging for a place to leave you stranded.
Do yourself a solid, make sure the basics are looked after on a more regular basis.

I do about 6000 or 7000 KMs a year and review most of those things twice a year plus an oil change before storage.
I keep a record of all service annd mods I talk to the good DR about these things when i go there for service.

And here I thought brake fluid turned black like fine wine as it aged....

Solid advice, my father in law just blew a motor, lack of maintenance. He blew a transmission last year, ignored check engine light/warning signs. I check my daily driver, all 4 tires off every 3-4 months. I address all leaks as I find them, not when they get worse. My 1992 Dodge B250 with 315,000 KM won't leave a spot of anything in your driveway. Nothing is broken or wrong with it mechanically.

My Mustang is receiving the same treatment, won't be officially driven until it is absolutely sound. Almost there too!!!

The Mustang gets plenty, much more frequent than any recommended service schedule.

The Edge gets everything it needs, when it needs it since we have the Ford Service package on it so everything is "free".

My subbie needs some attention but may be going in later today or tomorrow.

I drive about 2000km a year and change the ENTIRE drivetrain every year. Helps keep maintenance costs down.
