I was told Ford Performance is the new global branding for Factory Ford High Performance Vehicles and that SVT is now defunct.

This was directly from Senior Management over dinner, I can't believe that would just be thrown out there, if not factual.

SVT is just a name. It used to be SVO. Now it wll be Ford performance. Who cares what they call it. As long as there is a performance division. Call it Special vehicle operations, Ford motorsports, Ford racing, Special vehicle team or Ford performance doesn't matter.

If they do another GT500 it makes perfect sense they would use the Ford GT TT V6 for it. Everyone knew the '14 662bhp Shelby was the end of an era.

Personally believe AWD would just be awesome in a new top of the line Mustang. Crazy power that can't be put down to the ground is useless. 700+HP boosted V8 with AWD would be unreal! Now if they can only learn how to make this damn cars smaller and lighter....that would then be perfect!

Oh and another vote to drop the whole Shelby thing...let's just back to building cobras, bosses and machs!
