The Barton, Steeda, Blowfish brackets and the tranny bushing (Whiteline makes one too) are little fixes to the flaws of the MT-82. Some people have success and others don't seem to. I liked my Barton two post. After I installed it I never had an issue again - including at the track where you know the issue will surface, if it's going to at all.
But researching the MGW, you can see that this isn't just simply a shifter replacement. The design is such that it mounts more directly to the transmission, subsequently preventing that lockout so many experience. It's a serious piece. But it's a significantly more pricey option than the above mentioned fixes (as it should be, of course). It's a new more compact design now too, and easier to install, apparently.
If you can spend the money, the MGW Race Spec seems to be the direction to go.
