That's the thing that gets me with NASCAR and car names. Wouldn't it be great if they were racing "real" Mustangs and Camaros...heavily modified, but an actual Mustang or Camaro chassis. Right now, I can compare them to RC cars...same chassis but a different body cover, lol.

They already have that. It's called the Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge.

I'd say that Pirelli World Challenge would be more like that, since they are using FIA GT4 spec cars now which are typically a bit more modified than the Continental series cars.

Great racing in both of those series regardless and some awesome cars. Pirelli WC will be at Mosport on the May long weekend.

He will be sharing the car with him. IMHO, good for Bayne which = good for Roush.

I wonder if this is the end of Nascar, or if fresh blood will help revive the sport.

CONCORD, N.C. — On Friday at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Matt Kenseth put an exclamation point on his return to racing at NASCAR’s highest level, winning the pole for Saturday night’s Monster Energy NASCAR All-Star Race (6 p.m. ET on FS1, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).
In the unique All-Star qualifying format, which features three laps and a four-tire stop with no pit road speed limit, Kenseth posted a total time of 2:07.644 for an average speed of 126.915 mph to edge Roush Fenway Racing teammate Ricky Stenhouse Jr. (126.427 mph) for the Monster Energy Pole Award in the exhibition race that pays $1 million to win.
